Inuksuk (pronounced ih-nook-shook).

A landmark of rocks used in the Canadian north for navigation or communication.

In essence it says, Someone was here and went thattaway. They also indicated food caches, good hunting/fishing spots, or shelter for future travelers.

Gelatin Monotype by Martha Marshall My collection of other artist's small works is growing and I'm delighted that this piece is included.
