And Now For Something Completely Different....


I LOVE mixed-media works and collage. I fool around with them when I'm not painting, and in those times where I just want to work with something other than paint. On this piece, I used hand-painted roofing paper with acrylics and watercolor paint to accent. It's on an Ampersand multimedia panel and sealed with acrylic medium.

I am definitely no great collage artist, but I have the bug! I will continue to experiment. To view some truly great collages, check out the following links:

How to Lose Your Leaves and Survive the Winter

They are somewhat compulsive as I need to make things -- almost addictively. Sometimes, I have to force myself to post them them as I recognize that they are perhaps, not great art. That's okay. Over the years, I've worked hard to make good paintings, market them professionally, get that pat on the head through sales and increasing recognition. That has happened and I am delighted -- but I lost something of myself along the way. Did you know that I have quite the wicked (raunchy at times) sense of humor? No?
